Baer Ridgway Exhibitions is pleased to announce a solo show by gallery artist Sean McFarland at the Adobe Books Backroom Gallery.  McFarland's Untitled Landscape (California) will present one large installation composed of hundreds of miniature landscapes inspired by Western landscape painting.  This ambitious body of work has been in progress for the past eight years, during which time the artist has created over 600 landscapes that will cover an entire wall of the Adobe Books Backroom Gallery.  An artist-made booklet in an edition of 50 will be available for sale at the reception and throughout the run of the show.

McFarland will also be presenting a video installation in conjunction with:
Land And Sea's: Coconut Record Release Gathering
at Grace Cathedral on Friday August 20th from 7-10 pm.

Sean McFarland's work is in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art Library, the Oakland Museum of California, the University of California, Davis, and Humboldt State University. He is the recipient of the 2009 Baum Award for Emerging American Photographers, the 2009 Kala Fellowship from the Kala Institute and the 2009 John Gutmann Fellowship Award.
