Bay Area artist Christopher Taggart begins his enormously labor-intensive projects without certainty where the arbitrary limits he sets will take him. A craftsman of leaping imagination, Taggart engages with photography, sculpture, etching and every collaged amalgam in between. With meticulous attention to detail and an almost obsessive process of composition, the artist incorporates equal measures of chaos and order to create coherent images of fantasy and reality.
