Matthew Palladino
NADA Art Fair, Miami Beach · December 2010

Eli Ridgway Gallery presents a solo booth of new work by Matthew Palladino at NADA. Working in acrylic ink on paper, Palladino builds dense, isometric compositions from crowds of tiny figures — mazes, arenas, and letters massed from marching and burning bodies, rendered in a flat, poster-bright palette.

Alongside the works on paper is a series of t-shirts, each paired with a named individual — from “Italians Do It Better” to the Lincoln “Sic Semper Tyrannis” — a vernacular of slogan and belief.
